No. While you have to take the Casper test at a specific time, Snapshot and Duet can be completed anytime after booking your Casper test. It is recommended that you complete Snapshot and Duet within 14 days of taking Casper. This will ensure that all components of your Altus Suite are available together to be considered by your program(s), if they are an admissions requirement as per the program website(s).
Also, please check our Dates and Fees page or your program’s website(s) for information on whether Snapshot is an admissions requirement or not. All relevant components of Altus Suite will be available for you to complete. Please note that Duet is only applicable to US undergraduate and graduate medical programs.
It depends on what program you’re applying to. For the 2021/22 cycle, it can take anywhere between 75-120 minutes. (Casper takes about 60-90 minutes to complete, while Snapshot and Duet each take about 15 minutes.) For the 2022/23 cycle, it can take between 120-150 minutes. (Casper takes about 100-120 minutes to complete, while Snapshot and Duet each take about 15 minutes.)

After a 2-week processing period, your Casper scores will be released directly to the programs on your distribution list. Duet scores are automatically generated based on your responses and sent directly to the programs. Snapshot responses are sent directly to the programs, and rated by program staff. Additional information for the 2022/23 test takers: Your Casper scores from the typed response section will be released directly to the programs on your distribution list. Scores from the video response section will only be shared with selected early adopter programs.
Casper scores are made available to the program(s) on your distribution list 2-3 weeks following your Casper test. Approximately 1 month after your Casper test date you will receive an email notification when your quartile score is available to view. When your quartile score is available, you can access it by going to the Casper section of your Altus Suite account and clicking on the “View Results” button.
